11 days Lake Rara Trek, Grade: Moderate

A journey into the Jumla region and the Rara lake, is probably one of the most incredible and fascinating treks in all the Himalayan range with its unique tranquillity, blending well in perfect harmony with the surrounding mountains and beautiful landscapes. Start this magical trek in the hill village of Jumla where apple orchards span out of view.  Trek through remote countryside toward the Tibetan border.  Enter Rara National Park, the smallest park in Nepal yet it possess the largest lake in Nepal, Lake Rara.  Surrounded by blue pine, black juniper, West Himalayan spruce, oak and Himalayan cypress Lake Rara is a popular serenity pilgrimage for Nepalese. It's scenery and unbelievable quietness is fascinating in the midst of its charming forest and landscapes.

Day to day itinerary

Day 01:

Arrive Kathmandu. Meet & transfer to Hotel. O/N Hotel.  

Day 02: Helf day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu valley. O/N Hotel.  
Day 03: Fly Kathmandu / Nepalgunj. O/N Hotel.       
Day 04:

Fly Nepalgunj / Jumla. Trek to Serachaur. O/N Camp.  

Day 05: Trek to Jaljala Pass. O/N Camp.  
Day 06: Trek to Sinja Khola. O/N Camp.                
Day 07: Trek to Botha. O/N Camp.        
Day 08: Trek to Rara Lake. O/N Camp.   
Day 09: Rest day at Rara Lake for local excursion. O/N Camp.    
Day 10: Trek to Gurja Lake. O/N Camp.  
Day 11: Trek to Nyauli Khola. O/N Camp.  
Day 12: Trek to Tharmara. O/N Camp.  
Day 13: Trek to Jumla. O/N Camp.
Day 14: Fly Jumla / Nepalgunj / Kathmandu. Transfer to Hotel. O/N Hotel.  
Day 15: In Kathmandu for independent activities. O/N Hotel.  
Day 16: Depart Katmandu

11 days trekking, 4 nights accomodation in Kathmandu in a 3 Star hotel on bed & breakfast basis, full trekking crew, trekking gears, guide, cook, porters, 3 meals a day i.e. breakfast, lunch and dinner, insurance for the Nepalese staff, National Park & Trekking Permit Fee, necessary transportation and staffs, equipments, fuel, meals, walk in / walk out to put point.
